Following the success of the original session at SXSW, axial3D is running a webinar on the operation and use of 3D printing.

The webinar will aim to educate those within the medical industry alongside the general public through exploring the impact that 3D printing has made for both surgical teams and their patients.
The webinar will last approximately 45 minutes and will be hosted by Nigel McAlpine, immersive technology lead at Digital Catapult NI.
Consultant transplant surgeon at Belfast City Hospital and axial3D, medical 3D printing expert Dr. Tim Brown will share the story of a life-saving, world-first operation that was made possible through 3D printing. Additionally, Brown will explore what he believes the future holds for the technology.
Also partaking in the webinar will be Cathy Coomber, operations manager, axial3D and Daniel Crawford, CEO, axial3D.
The team will aim to share how machine learning is being utilised in order to complete labour intensive and complex tasks to create functional 3D models from 2D scans, and will offer those attending the opportunity to ask questions at the end of the discussion.
