Beacon MedTech Solutions has announced the hiring of Becky Kozodoy as director of quality control and regulatory affairs.
Leading Beacon MedTech’s Quality Team, Kozodoy will be responsible for optimising the company’s quality management system and processes to meet and exceed the exacting needs of customers in medical, life sciences and biopharma.
Bringing more than 25 years of experience in the development and implementation of quality management systems for medical device companies, Kozodoy will leverage this expertise to focus on standardising and streamlining processes across teams to enhance the employee and customer experience. In addition to ensuring that the company continues to comply with applicable quality standards and regulatory requirements, she will also hold responsibility for driving quality improvement initiatives. As director of quality control and regulatory affairs, Kozodoy will lead the quality team to cultivate a culture that balances Beacon MedTech’s business goals with customer needs.
“I am thrilled to join Beacon MedTech with the opportunity to support the company’s growth as a worldclass manufacturing organisation that consistently meets and exceeds customer requirements,” said Kozodoy. “For me, these aren’t just plastic parts we’re making. Getting to see the parts and products I’ve contributed to improve or save lives motivates me to ensure that we are doing everything we can to manufacture to the strictest quality standards.”
A medical device industry veteran, Kozodoy has spent the entirety of her career in quality. Most recently, she held roles at Phillips-Medisize and NP Medical. She brings extensive experience with ISO 13485 certification, quality system regulations, internal and external auditing, and CAPA root cause analysis.
“As a member of the Beacon MedTech leadership team, Becky will have critical influence on Beacon MedTech’s culture of excellence, both in our quality practice and as a best-in-class employer,” said James Porter, vice president - sales & business development. “We are very fortunate to have Becky join our team as we expedite vital innovations for leaders in medical, biopharma and life sciences across the United States.”
Kozodoy received her bachelor’s degree in physics, and her masters and doctorate in ceramic engineering, from Rutgers University.
