The 34th Chinaplas will now take place from 13th to 16th April 2021.
The statement issued by the organisers of the event, Adsale Exhibition Services, said: “Since the occurrence of Covid-19, we have been closely monitoring the situation. The virus is now largely under control in China but poses a high degree of uncertainty globally. China has now a formidable task of fighting against local rebound infections while preventing the next wave of outbreak from imported cases.”
On 6th April, the State Council of China issued a circular of “The Further Control and Preventive Measures of the Novel Coronavirus at Key Venues, Units and Groups.” The preventive suggestions included clearly stated that all exhibitions must be stopped for the time being. Therefore, Chinaplas is unable to take place in August 2020, as previously planned.
It is worth noting that the venue for the event which will now be held in 2021 has changed from the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai where the 2020 event was scheduled to take place, to Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center in Shenzhen.
Adsale commented: “We would like to express our gratitude for your continual support to Chinaplas and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by the postponement and venue change of the 34th Chinaplas. As the show organiser, we have to put the safety and health of all show participants as our top priority and would appreciate your kind understanding.”
The organisers will be in touch with any exhibitors and visitors who have already paid admission fees.
The statement from Adsale concludes: “In the coming days, we will roll out the preparation work for Chinaplas 2021. We look forward to meeting you in Shenzhen, the energetic city fuelled by creativity and innovations. In the next spring, lets work together towards greater heights!”
