In October 2013, Filtrona Porous Technologies became Essentra Porous Technologies, part of Essentra plc with shares listed on the London Stock Exchange. The company has issued the following press release.
All four divisions of our parent company, Essentra plc, adopted the name, Essentra—forming a fully united worldwide organisation.
The name Essentra extends from our company’s core purpose—designing, producing and distributing the critical parts and components that enable our customers’ success. From porous materials and secure packaging to filter products and component and protection solutions, Essentra’s products are essential across industries and the world.
The change has had a tremendous impact on our vision for the future. Throughout the rebranding process, all four divisions of Essentra plc became connected—5,500 employees and five R&D centres united in purpose. And the immediate benefit to our customers has been clear—easier purchasing decisions across divisions through stability offered by a recognisably unified FTSE (FTSE, or "Footsie" is the London Stock Exchange) 250 company.
But the most important effect of our transition to Essentra will become apparent as we move into the future.
Our divisions are coming together to invest in solutions and innovation. And in the world of healthcare, innovative solutions save lives. Refinements in engineering and advancements in science and technology have continually redefined standards of patient care—and must continue to do so. That’s why Essentra’s Porous Technologies and Packaging and Securing divisions are working together to raise the bar even higher, creating innovative solutions for the healthcare and pharmaceutical markets.
Essentra will be exhibiting at Compamed in hall 8a, stand C14.
