Paker Hanniflin's Etched PTFE liners to go inside tubing for catheters
Etched PTFE tubing for catheter assemblies is being introduced by Parker Hanniflin Corporation.
Parker etched PTFE tubing has wall thickness down to .001” and tolerances of +/- .0005 and therefore is extruded in a class 10,000 cleanroom, ensuring customers receive the best in-class extruded etched tubing available.
Because the etching process is so caustic, many companies do not have the infrastructure to obtain the necessary permits for in-house etching and are forced to send their products out to a third party. Parker Hanniflin has invested in an on-site, etching facility to ensure the product never leaves the controlled process environment.
The tubing will be on display at the MD&M East Exposition in New York this week.
