Proco Machinery, a manufacturer of automation systems, will launch its new collaborative robot (Cobot) palletising system for plastic bottles at NPE 2024 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. Proco’s Cobot system will be showcased during live demonstrations at its booth #S15097.

The new palletising system improves efficiency by automating the palletising of trays and tier sheets up to 104-in high and reduces the need for manual labour, which translates into lower manufacturing costs and higher profitability. The flexibility of the Cobot system allows it to be easily configured into a case packer, thus permitting seamless integration into existing production lines which minimises disruptions and downtime during implementation. Combining the palletising and case packing processes also optimises warehouse space utilisation.
The Proco Cobot system can palletise up to 104 inches and adapts to case packing, which "exceeds" the range and capacity of other similar systems. The system offers manufacturers a more efficient and cost-effective solution that enhances the overall performance of their operation.
The Proco Cobot system is designed to deliver a proposition which combines efficiency, safety, flexibility, and sustainability to meet the evolving needs of modern manufacturing industries, according to John McCormick, president of Proco Machinery.
“The Cobot revolution is firmly underway and soon Proco Cobot systems will be integrated by all forward-thinking manufacturers,” said McCormick. Proco uses the latest modern manufacturing efficiencies to develop innovative, yet cost-effective Cobot systems.
McCormick noted that the new Cobot system fills an important need in the packaging industry which faces a growing labour shortage, as manufacturers look for ways to improve productivity while reducing their reliance on manual labour.
