Trelleborg Medical Solutions showcases its comprehensive polymer-based solutions and capabilities for the medical technology and biopharmaceutical industries at Compamed 2024 in Dusseldorf from 11-14 November, at stand F02 in hall 8A.
Trelleborg Medical Solutions
Trelleborg focuses on its Integrated Solutions program that supports customers from the earliest product development stages, including rapid production-intent prototyping, through to delivery of finished, sterile packaged products and assembled devices. Integrated Solutions simplifies development and manufacturing systems, enhancing supply chains and logistics processes, and drives cost savings through bundled purchasing processes and consolidated audits, shipping and logistics.
By leveraging Trelleborg’s globally connected manufacturing network, all competencies are combined to provide partners with complete solutions. Through a globally standardised quality management system, Trelleborg ensures consistency and efficiency, and helps to reduce risks across all production processes.
Daniel Diffenderfer, business unit president of Trelleborg Medical Device Solutions Europe, said: “We support medical technology and biopharmaceutical companies globally as a one-stop-shop for the design, development, prototyping and serial production of polymer-based solutions.
"At Compamed we will demonstrate our comprehensive portfolio of solutions for the medical & biopharmaceutical sectors and engage in discussions about current challenges in medical technology as well as the requirements of contract manufacturers.”
Trelleborg also highlights the BioPharmaPro portfolio, a range of innovative products, materials and services for single-use systems (SUS). SUS solutions, made from various materials including thermoplastics, silicones and composites, can be processed into tubes, custom mouldings, assemblies and many other applications. For example, lightweight and non-reactive BioPharmaPro advanced composite columns serve as a high-quality replacement for reusable systems made from stainless steel or acrylic. This is because the products, made from reinforced polypropylene thermoplastics, not only have exceptionally good mechanical properties but can also be recycled after use.
In addition, Dale Gildemeister, product manager for Integrated Solutions, will hold a technical presentation on 11th November at 1:30 to 2:00 pm at the Suppliers Forum (at G40 in hall 8B) entitled "The Art of Medical Product Design and the Science of Injection Molding." He discusses how Trelleborg supports medical technology companies in injection moulding processes, and tool and construction design, to create reliable, high-quality products.
Trelleborg also showcases other topics at the show including micro injection moulding. Trelleborg manufactures high-quality and durable silicones, elastomers, and thermoplastics that make patient treatment and monitoring easier by making procedures less invasive and devices more portable. As a development partner with its own Innovation Center, Trelleborg also offers customers access to comprehensive expertise in the medical technology and biopharma industries.
